Current Employee - Analytical Chemist says

"I have been working at Hovione full-time for more than a year Cons: Very bad project management, Quality in QC is a joke. the people who is working harder, the more work you will get. small company with big politics."

Former Employee - Process Technician says

"I worked at Hovione full-time for less than a year Cons: Volunteer overtime but if you say no then they will get rid of you. Jimmy, the manufacturing supervisor, has mood swings and a nasty attitude with employees. He uses verbal threats and intimidation to keep employees in line and encourages them to speak negatively about one another causing a hostile work environment. The other process technicians will try to get you fired if they do not like you and Jimmy will believe anything he hears about you from them. The other process technicians are very inexperienced as well and will be upset when they learn you have experience and assume you make more than them. Thus causing a jealousy that will cause them to start complaining about you hoping that it makes them look better so they can argue that they deserve to be making more than you. All in all, if you have experience do not waste your time."

QC Chemist says

"I have been working at Hovione Cons: They work you like a slave and treat you like crap, Very Improffessional QA manager. She only likes Chinese. They give you a hard time all the time and don't want to pay. No one in the lab is happy. No one in the company is happy"

Current Employee - Technical Expert says

"I have been working at Hovione full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Ask any employee and they will tell you how sick and tired they are of the way the company is being managed. Management has double standards, they say one thing and do another thing. Racist and bullying comments were collected for 2 years consecutively from the annual satisfaction survey. Forget about delivering quality work because you will be handling 10 different things at the same time and overtime is expected from you. The turnover rate is very HIGH, people will leave when they get a better offer. They will squeeze every bit of you until you dried up and burn out then leave. Then they begin the next hiring process again to train up new employees until the next batch burns out and leave. Each year, you will see about 7-10 people leaving the company and new people coming in. In a site where there is about 200 staff, this is actually quite a huge impact. The statistics don't lie. The vibe of disappointment and dissatisfaction is very apparent throughout the company."

Quality Control Analyst (Former Employee) says

"In the first month of being an employee there it became clear that my department had issues. I took a full time job with benefits and was compensated well so I grinned and beared. In the location of East Windsor after being there for a year in the QC testing group a few things became clear. The department was an afterthought underfunded with questionable equipment that constantly needed repairs, laboratory supplies were out or running low, there was no ability to plan a week's work due to constant changes. Speaking of constant changes in that year I think I had four managers."

Project Manager (Current Employee) says

"A estrutura é complexa e dinâmica. A equipa muito jovem e também ela dinâmica. O que fazemos tem impacto positivo na vida dos paciente e isso é o maior driver que podemos ter. O moto é 'in it for life'. O trabalho é bastante exigente e é difícil ter um bom balanço vida trabalho/vida pessoal."

Mechanical Maintenance Charge-hand (Current Employee) says

"Worked on different types of equipment to ensure Manufacturing was to performed cGMP and Regulatory requirements."

Executive Assistant (Former Employee) says

"Bom ambiente de trabalho, empresa estável e organizada, dando oportunidade ao colaboradores de evoluírem profissionalmente. Cons: Muito vantagens ao nível de conhecimento"
